A book a day keeps stupidity away

I was never an avid reader before.
I know what a strange opening, once I found a book that led me to read and that was the beginning of an adventurous journey for me.
Books are fun when you immerse yourself in it.
Why should you read?
Aside from the most common reasons we all know. There are more:
- Reading biography books allows you to get into the perspective of another person.
- Reading specific culture books will show you what culture you would want to learn.
- Reading history will provide a background on who you are as a person and what to discover in the past can help mold tomorrow.
Moreover, I presume the majority of readers out there read fiction that doesn't need much explaining.
